Professional activities
I’ve been involved in various professional activities not related to science and teaching.
Since January 2007 until June 2016. I have been working as the Head of the Software Examination and Certification Laboratory at Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade.
From January 2008 to December 2011 I served as the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, Serbia.
Projects
- As
teacher at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade:
- Managed project "Developing new study program in English language for PhD studies in Informatics at Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade". Project "Developing new study program in English language for PhD studies in Informatics" is supported and funded by Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, within program activity 0014 "High Education Development" in program 2005 "High Education". This project is the first step in defining new study program in English language for PhD studies in Informatics. It encompasses content innovation and preparation of material required for accreditation and realization of the six PhD courses: Computational Intelligence, Genetic Algorithms, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, Data Mining in Bioinformatics and Web Mining.
- Envisioned, designed and realized project of data digitalization for the Bar County Museum. Digital assets are kept, catalogued and managed by web-based open-source solution that is set on servers at Faculty of Mathematics. Selected open-source based solution is continuously upgraded and improved. In this moment, it allows searching and browsing of cataloged assets, uploading and publishing of new assets, change and restructuring of metadata , as well as linking of catalogued assets.
- Designed and developed informational system "DMPM", for Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals. Informational system fully supports work of Sector for Development of Metrology in Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals. Informational system "DMPM" is a web application, developed with Microsoft .NET technology and with programming language C#. Microsoft SQL Server is used as RDBMS and Microsoft SQL Reporting is used for reporting. System is developed during 2010 and 2011.
- Project for Human Resource Informational System (under supervision of Gordana Pavlović-Lažetić) within project "eSerbia". Project "eSerbia", developed in 2008, deals with modern on-line public services that (beside e-learning, e-medicine, e-business) include e-government. Basic principles for this project are: data are registered at the place of its origin; accuracy, quality and protection of the data during its transfer and processing; data accessibility to authenticated users under the same conditions; application of uniform standards; standardized exchange of digital data and digital documents.
- Together with Đura Mišljenović, during 2010, designed and implemented web presentation of the Public Utility Company “Toplana”, Kraljevo, Serbia.
- As member of the Commission for the evaluation of teachers’ improvement programs, in period 2008 - 2012, evaluated teachers’ improvement programs, in order to create Catalogue of teachers’ permanent improvement programs , published by Directorate for promotion of education, Serbia.
- As the
Head of the Software Examination and Certification Laboratory:
- Planned, coordinated and implemented activities in order to obtain accreditation for the Software Examination and Certification Laboratory.
- Took part in developing standards and guidelines for examination of the gambling machines.
- Took part in developing standards and guidelines for the examination of the software embedded into measuring instruments - wat meters, weighing instruments, etc.
- Coordinated collaboration between the Faculty of Mathematics and the Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals , in the domain of software testing and certification for measuring instruments and gambling machines.
- Developed, organized and supervised examination of software embedded into various devices (wat meters, weighing instruments, gambling machines).
- As
Chief Technology Officer of the company Marketing Business System (from 2008 to

System is presented at XV Scientific Conference Informational Technologies – Today and Tomorrow IT 2010 .
In December 2010, Union of Municipalities of Montenegro awards this system as Best Practice in the area of the “Introduction of the IT in Service Provision Process". -
Designed and implemented informational system "Polyclinic". System is based on
Service-oriented architecture, it has web
interface, uses .NET 4.0 technologies and Microsoft SQL Server DBMS for storing data.

It supports following operations: work with the patient’s record ( creating , editing , deleting), attachment of the results, add , edit and delete of the scheduling, examination ( add , edit , delete), attaching lab results, advanced reports, administration etc.

- Web service EaWebService that executes evolutionary algorithm (ЕА), an example of application that uses published web service, and examples of configuration files that are useful for invoking web service.

Senior Web Programmer, from February 2000 to July 2001, company
AnalytX,
Inc, Alexandria, Virginia, USA:
- Lead a team of programmers on the design and development of Web-based financial management software, using XML/XSL paradigm.
- Created and integrated a number of Web services deploying .NET architecture.
- Reengineered and normalized legacy databases.
- Supported clients from Fortune 500 companies.
- Application Venture Complete and its offspring Web LP and Web GP are developeed. These applications fully coverage and follows work of financial funds and support management of the financial funds. Web GP is scalable multi-layered application that uses either Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle DBMS. Web server for Web GP is Microsoft IIS.
- As
Senior Programmer, from January 1998 to February 2000,
TRAX Corporation, Luxembourg:
- Lead a team of programmers on the conversion of the existing stand-alone Access application to client-server application in Visual Basic, with MS SQL Server and Oracle back-end.
- Ported Visual Basic based financial application from Access to Oracle database.
- Modeled and deployed new business requirements and reengineered existing applications upon those new requirements.
- Created, profiled and tuned complex queries, views, stored procedures and triggers in MS SQL Server, Oracle and Sybase SQL Anywhere.
- Developed application TRAX Time, which covers accounting information and information about consulting services, as well decision support. Reports are created with Seagate Crystal Reports.
